Ricky spent his childhood on his nan's allotment on the edge of Norwich — weeding for pocket money, learning that a good garden is really just steady kindness repeated. At 24 he swapped odd jobs for a mower, a van and a name over the door.
Sam came on board a season later. A neighbour first, then the person Ricky called every time a plant needed a name or a border needed a plan. Between them they had the whole job covered: Ricky's graft and machinery, Sam's twenty years of knowing exactly what to plant where.
Today it's still just the two of them — on purpose. Small enough that you get the same faces every time, good enough that most of our work now comes from neighbours pointing over the fence.
Founder & bossRicky runs the show — the quotes, the diary, the heavy lifting and the machinery that makes short work of a jungle. He's the one you'll speak to first, and he takes it personally when a garden isn't left better than he found it. Off the clock you'll find him at the allotment that started all this, or walking a customer's dog he's grown far too fond of.
Garden assistantSam is the calm, green-fingered half of the pair. Two decades of growing means she knows what'll thrive in a shady Norfolk border and what'll sulk — and she plants accordingly. She's also the one who remembers your name, your garden and how your hip's been doing. Our older customers, in particular, rather adore her.
Ricky watched his nan slowly lose the garden she loved simply because she couldn't manage it any more — and no one local could help at a price that made sense. That stuck. So giving back isn't a marketing line for us; it's the reason the business exists.
